In Year 3, we were inspired by the island of Ireland. We learnt about the islands history and some of the patterns and symbolism that they embrace as part of their culture. We designed Celtic Knots, creating a collage by weaving and folding paper shapes, and Celtic Symbols displayed on watercolour paintings of the Irish flag. We used clay to create sculptures of shamrocks and leprechaun hats.
