In Year 4, we were inspired by the island of Madagascar. We painted silhouette pictures of Madagascar’s iconic tree, Grandidier’s baobab, against the night sky. We used shading techniques to colour our drawings of the Panther Chameleon, one of the reptile inhabitants of the tropical rainforest. Inspired by the beautiful patterns painted on the faces of Malagasy women, we painted each-other’s faces and displayed photos of our designs.
