We are inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ who is at the heart of all we do.

During Creation Week, each class explored an aspect of Creation. The children expressed their understanding through Scripture, poetry, art and drama. Their work is displayed in school for everyone to enjoy.

During the Summer term, the children reflected upon nature and the beauty of God’s world. We linked this work to Pope Francis’ call to look after our ‘Common Home’. The children collected pictures of our wonderful world which we used to display in school. We used the books The Lost Words and The Lost Spells to focus on the majesty of the natural world. Here is some of the work.

Lent is an important time for Catholics as we prepare to immerse ourselves in the death and glorious resurrection of Jesus. Before Lent, we burn palms to make the ashes for Ash Wednesday. During Lent, we prepare our consciences to say sorry for all we have done through receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation or through a Reconciliation Service. We cover our worship tables in a purple cloth as a sign that we are in the season of Lent.
